Not down on downtime

Saturday I finished the practical element of my first aid training, something I’m doing as part of volunteering with Scouting UK as a Beaver Leader — I’m now certified for the next three years. It’s reassuring to know what to do in an emergency but I’d rather not have to use that knowledge in a real life situation. There’s something unavoidably morbid having to consider what ways the kids we look after could injure themselves.
